Iris fronts Echora with a voice cut for big rooms — direct, unforced, and built for tape. She writes most of the band's lyrics in the van between cities and produced the vocal sessions for Nightform.
Before Echora she sang in choirs and shouted in basements; both are audible. On stage she runs the room like a sixth instrument — the reason the quiet songs land as hard as the loud ones.
